I'm Beth Anne Martin of Bears by Beth
Anne
and I have been making bears since 1995, when
I attended a
Schaumburg bear show to help my mother, Donna Hinkelman, with her exhibit table.
That day I purchased mohair and a pattern which began my bear making career.
My bears are made
from quality mohair, fully jointed and have detailed faces.
I make bunnies,
elephants, mice and even monkeys.
Creating bears is
a joy for me and it makes
my heart happy to sit and sew.

In recent years I returned to college and obtained my degree as radiologist technologist
with
a job at our regional hospital.
We have two grown children along with our four grandchildren. Austin, Cali and twins; Aiden
and Ian are a great joy for my husband Rick, of 41 years, and me.
If you're looking for a sweet fuzzy face with eyes that look at you with love; a bear made by me may fit the bill.

 All my bears and animal friends are 5-way jointed, made of mohair and stuffed with poly-fil, zinc plated BBs and either plastic pellets or glass beads. Airbrushed accents add detailed features to these show pieces. All are one-of-a-kind.

Merrie Mouse is a petite fancy lady mouse.
At 6” tall, she is fully jointed and may
be posed to sit or stand.
Made in gently distressed pink mohair
with tan German felt foot pads, tail
and ears, Merrie has brown hi-lights.
She has been busy sewing as you never know what creation Merrie will come
up with next.
Her vintage child’s boot with pink buttons is a favorite of Merrie’s and carries
her spools of thread along with some vintage hat pins.
This sweet mouse has a flowered grosgrain ribbon tied around her ears.
A brown airbrushed nose, black German glass eyes and black whiskers finish
of her details. Check out her darling long tail.

Plum Pudding is 18” tall and a unique slightly variegated darkened plum
short mohair.
I love Puddin’s darling facial expression
with his long nose, light floss nose
and side way’s perched ears.
Tan German felt paw pads add to his personality. Just the right shades
of dark vs. light in this bear.
Plum Pudding is gently wrapped in a wool plaid scarf to keep him snug with cooler temperatures on their way.

Felix is 27” tall and ready for winter
in his cozy wool plaid hat with red mohair trim and a large rusty bell.
I made the hat myself!
He is wearing golden curls of mohair
with a dark back and matching German
felt paw pads.
This great size is loads of fun as the saying on the attached piece on the hat trim reads, “All I want for Christmas.

Made of short dense ‘very soft’ white mohair with brown airbrushed accents along with red mohair tipped in black for his trousers.
A great color combo for Tim. Red leather suspenders with antique black buttons secure his ‘mohair’ pants.
